D-Mart Q2 revenue rises 18.4% to Rs 19,206 crore as store footprint expands
The Radhakishan Damani-promoted retail giant added more stores and grew sales sequentially by 4.7 per cent.

Avenue Supermarts, the operator of the D-Mart retail chain, has reported an 18.4 per cent year-on-year increase in standalone revenue, reaching Rs 19,206.18 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026.
According to a regulatory filing released on Saturday, the retail giant had posted standalone revenue of Rs 16,218.79 crore in the same period last fiscal year. The latest figures show a steady upward trajectory, with revenue also climbing 4.7 per cent sequentially from the Rs 18,343.49 crore recorded in the June quarter of this year.
Alongside the sales growth, the company expanded its brick-and-mortar footprint. D-Mart's total store count reached 518 by the end of September. This network includes its outlet in Sanpada, Navi Mumbai, which is temporarily closed to shoppers while it undergoes reconstruction.
Founded and promoted by veteran investor Radhakishan Damani and his family, the supermarket chain sells household essentials, groceries, and personal care products. Its network spans several key markets across India, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Rajasthan, and the National Capital Region.
Financial performance and market position
The latest revenue update comes on the heels of a solid first-quarter performance. For the three months ended June 30, Avenue Supermarts reported an 11.3 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 860.6 crore, up from Rs 773 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
During that same period, its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew by 15.4 per cent to Rs 1,499 crore, maintaining an EBITDA margin of 8 per cent.
Despite the steady operational growth, the company’s stock has faced some medium-term pressure. Shares of Avenue Supermarts have fallen by roughly 12 per cent over the past three months and are down about 14 per cent over the last year. However, for long-term investors, the picture remains highly positive; the stock has delivered returns of over 518 per cent since its stock market listing.
