EAAA India Alternatives Ltd, the alternative asset management arm of Edelweiss Financial Services, has set a price band of Rs 1,585 to Rs 1,665 per equity share for its upcoming Rs 1,200-crore initial public offering.

The public issue opens for bidding on 26 October and closes on 28 October, according to regulatory filings submitted to stock exchanges. Anchor investor bidding will take place on 23 October, ahead of the general opening. Shares will carry a face value of Rs 5 each, with a minimum application lot of nine shares and multiples of nine thereafter.

Offer structure and promoter divestment

The IPO consists entirely of an offer for sale (OFS) by Edelweiss Group entities, meaning the company will receive no direct proceeds from the transaction. The entire sum raised will flow to the selling shareholders, who held a combined 95.03% stake prior to the issue.

The final issue size represents a scale-back from the Rs 1,500 crore initially outlined in the draft red herring prospectus filed with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in January. That adjustment followed a pre-IPO transaction in March, when Edelweiss Financial Services sold a 4.4% equity stake in the subsidiary for Rs 375 crore.

For retail bidders, participating at the upper end of the price band will require a minimum outlay of Rs 14,985 for one nine-share lot. The maximum retail application is capped at 13 lots (117 shares), totalling Rs 1,94,805.

Financial performance and asset backing

Incorporated in 2008, EAAA India Alternatives manages long-term capital across private credit, commercial property, and infrastructure assets spanning transport and energy. Operating from Mumbai, New Delhi, GIFT City, and Singapore, its growth highlights the expanding depth of India's regulated alternative investment funds (AIF) market, where institutional appetite for domestic infrastructure financing and structured yield has expanded rapidly.

The company has reported consecutive years of topline and bottom-line expansion leading into the market debut:

Allotment and listing schedule

Under the book-built structure, 50% of the net issue is reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIB), 15% for non-institutional investors (NII), and 35% for retail individual investors.

Share allotment is scheduled for finalisation on 29 October, with successful applicants expected to receive share credits in their demat accounts by 30 October. Trading in the equity shares is scheduled to begin on both the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India on 2 November.

Axis Capital, Jefferies India, Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors, and Nuvama Wealth Management are serving as the merchant bankers overseeing the offering.
