RRB Technician answer key 2026 released for Grade 1 and Grade 3 exams
Candidates can review response sheets and challenge provisional answers through regional portal links until 22 October.

The Railway Recruitment Boards have published the provisional answer keys and candidate response sheets for the Technician Grade 1 Signal and Technician Grade 3 recruitment examinations. The release allows applicants who appeared for the computer-based tests conducted under Centralised Employment Notice No. 02/2026 to verify their submitted responses against the official answer keys and raise challenges where necessary.
Candidates can access their question papers, individual answer scripts and official keys through the respective regional Railway Recruitment Board websites. The board has kept the objection portal active until 11:55 pm on 22 October 2026, giving candidates a structured window to point out any errors before the recruitment process moves to its evaluation stage.
Examination schedule and objection window
The prompt conduct of the examinations and the rapid rollout of answer keys reflect Indian Railways' structured drive to streamline technical recruitment and fill operational posts without delays. The computer-based testing phase was concluded earlier this month across nationwide centres with tight schedules.
| Post | Exam dates | Objection deadline | Fee per question |
|---|---|---|---|
| Technician Grade 1 Signal | 9 October 2026 | 22 October 2026 (11:55 pm) | Rs 50 |
| Technician Grade 3 | 6 to 9 October 2026 | 22 October 2026 (11:55 pm) | Rs 50 |
How to challenge provisional answers
To view responses and lodge an objection, candidates must sign in to the regional portal of the Railway Recruitment Board to which they applied. After logging in with their registration details, candidates can select the specific question or option they intend to challenge and attach supporting technical evidence as prescribed in the instructions.
The board has established an objection fee of Rs 50 for every question challenged, alongside applicable banking service charges. Candidates can make payments online using debit cards, credit cards, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) or internet banking facilities.
Maintaining transparency in evaluation, the recruitment board confirmed that if an objection submitted by a candidate is accepted as valid, the full fee paid for that specific challenge will be refunded after deducting bank charges. The refund will be credited directly to the payment account used during the submission. Once the objection window concludes, subject matter panels will assess candidate feedback before preparing the final answer keys and compiling examination results.
