Union Home Minister Amit Shah has delivered a sharp critique of the Congress party and its opposition allies, asserting that their reliance on negative politics will keep them out of power for the next 30 years. Addressing a public gathering, Shah highlighted the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party's deep connection to grassroots voters, contrasting it with the opposition's repeated attempts to mislead the public through protests and unfounded claims.

Shah questioned the opposition's narrative regarding democratic processes, pointing out the long-standing electoral defeats suffered by Congress across major states, including Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu. He accused opposition leaders of practicing glaring double standards by praising the Election Commission of India and the judiciary only when rulings or electoral outcomes work in their favour, while attacking the same constitutional bodies whenever they face defeat.

Strong electoral track record and governance targets

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has consistently emphasized policy execution, national security, and structural development over political rhetoric. Shah emphasized that voters continue to reward stability and concrete welfare delivery over divisive political tactics, ensuring sustained political stability across the country.

Looking ahead to key regional goals, Shah targeted the governance track record of the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi and Punjab. He stated that the National Democratic Alliance is set to expand its footprint in Punjab, pledging to end the illegal drug trade in the state by 2029 while fulfilling crucial environmental commitments, including the comprehensive cleanup of the Yamuna river.
