Karnataka election authorities are preparing to publish the finalized electoral rolls on 27 October following an extensive Special Intensive Revision (SIR) aimed at ensuring an accurate voter list across the state. Official records show that over 10.07 lakh Form-6 applications for enrolment have been submitted since the electoral baseline was frozen on 16 June.

The administrative exercise systematically identified 1.07 crore entries under the Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others (ASDDO) categories during draft verification. Prior to the enumeration phase, election officers processed more than 1.28 lakh Form-7 deletion requests submitted between 14 May and 16 June. Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer V. Anbu Kumar confirmed that all pending applications received prior to the 16 June deadline were processed strictly in accordance with official records and established protocol.

Of the total deletion submissions logged prior to the baseline freeze, 45,878 were submitted by third-party objectors citing verification reasons such as voter relocation or death. District records show major application volume focused in districts such as Belagavi, which recorded 38,713 submissions, Bagalkot with 13,889, and Raichur with 10,454.

Enrolment response rates relative to identified ASDDO entries have varied significantly across districts as citizens applied for restoration or primary enrolment before the official 23 September claims deadline.

To ensure complete coverage and prevent any eligible elector from being left behind, the Chief Electoral Officer's office confirmed plans for an immediate mop-up enrolment drive directly after the final voter lists are published on 27 October. Officials noted that 7.86 lakh of the total Form-6 submissions arrived before the primary claims deadline, with processing continuing seamlessly to finalize the official register.
