Delhi Police to cover full tuition fees for children of fallen personnel
An overhaul of the Delhi Police Education Fund introduces full higher education fee coverage alongside enhanced rewards for academic merit.
What Delhi Police announced
Delhi Police will reimburse the full tuition fees for higher education to children of personnel killed in the line of duty, providing dedicated backing for police families in the capital.
The welfare initiative, introduced under Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar, overhauls the Delhi Police Education Fund to support bereaved families while rewarding academic excellence among children of serving staff.
Delhi Police Additional Commissioner Rajeev Ranjan said the measure replaces a fixed annual allowance with complete tuition coverage. The financial assistance takes effect from the 2025–26 academic year.
Key education incentives and scholarship hikes
Along with full fee coverage for families of fallen officers, the department has enhanced cash rewards and scholarships for children of serving personnel across ranks, from Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) up to promotee Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
