B2B travel technology platform TravClan has raised $5 million in fresh capital from e-commerce leader Flipkart, investment firm August One, and venture debt provider Trifecta Capital.

The new funding round takes the startup's total capital raised to more than $11 million, demonstrating strong investor confidence in India's expanding digital commerce infrastructure.

Expanding AI tools and global supply

The company plans to deploy the capital to deepen its global supply network, scale its artificial intelligence capabilities, and expand destination operations in key international markets. TravClan builds technology that enables independent travel agents and businesses to source hotel inventory, generate customized itineraries, make reservations, and process payments through a single digital platform.

By integrating AI tools, the platform allows travel sellers to modify complex itineraries and update pricing in minutes rather than spending hours handling manual adjustments.

"The next generation of travel software will not just help sellers search faster. It will increasingly execute work for them," said Arun Bagaria, co-founder and chief executive officer of TravClan. "Our ambition is to make TravClan the infrastructure that any travel business can build on instead of having to recreate the entire travel stack itself."

Digital adoption across regional India

TravClan currently powers over 15,000 travel agents and handles more than $100 million in annual travel sales. Demonstrating the rapid spread of digital technology beyond major metropolitan areas, approximately 40 per cent of the platform's business now originates from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across India.

Rather than acting solely as an aggregator, TravClan establishes direct relationships with hotel operators and activity suppliers across more than 18 international markets. The platform also maintains ground teams across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and India to manage on-ground service delivery.

"TravClan has built a capital efficient model by owning supply rather than buying demand, and distributing through agents in underserved markets," said Sahil Kukreja, vice president at Trifecta Capital.

Early investor Leo Capital also highlighted the strength of this direct inventory strategy. "We backed them when owning supply looked like the slow way to build," said Rajul Garg, founder and managing partner at Leo Capital. "In travel, whoever owns the supply owns the economics."

TravClan's existing backers include Leo Capital, The Ventures, Hashed, August One, Flipkart, and a group of angel investors. The company has stated a long-term goal of building the core digital infrastructure needed to serve the next 100 million international travellers from India.
