Indian artificial intelligence startup BharatAI Innovations has entered international business school classrooms after being featured in a case study distributed globally through Harvard Business School Publishing.

Founded in 2023 in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, by Divya Jha and Keshav Jha, the women-led enterprise builds AI-driven sales platforms specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises. Divya Jha, who serves as chief executive, is the startup's primary shareholder.

AI solutions for small enterprises

The company's core platform, Enqbooks, helps small businesses capture and manage sales inquiries received through messaging channels such as WhatsApp, ensuring potential orders are not overlooked. BharatAI has since expanded its product stack with Vaarto, an automated customer messaging platform featuring a knowledge-based chatbot, and LeadNavik, an automated lead-routing platform. These tools mark the company's progression into agentic AI, where software independently carries out multi-step operational tasks.

BharatAI’s growth showcases the strength of India's expanding startup infrastructure and targeted state support. The firm was incubated at the Atal Incubation Centre at the Birla Institute of Management Technology (AIC-BIMTECH) in Greater Noida and secured official recognition from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under Startup India.

After achieving operational break-even through self-funding, the startup received Rs 7.5 lakh under the central government's Startup India Seed Fund Scheme. It subsequently secured an undisclosed early-stage investment from an IIT Madras alumnus at a valuation of approximately Rs 15 crore, keeping its total external funding below Rs 15 lakh.

Global academic recognition

The 15-page case study, titled BharatAI Innovations: Paving the Way for AI-Powered Lead Management (reference W49823), examines how the founders established market demand while maintaining lean operations and weighing funding routes for future expansion.

In addition to BharatAI, co-founder and chief technology officer Keshav Jha operates KBCD Tech Solutions, a debt-free car rental technology platform supporting more than 250 operators across India. That business handles over Rs 400 crore in annual transaction value with a client retention rate of roughly 95 per cent. Jha also completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business Seed Spark programme in 2025.

The inclusion of BharatAI in international academic curricula reflects how India's technological ecosystem is delivering capital-efficient software solutions capable of competing on the global stage.
