Apple posts all-time revenue record in India as premium demand soars
Surging demand for premium devices and expanding local production drive historic quarterly performance in India.
Apple has achieved its highest-ever quarterly revenue in India for the September-ending period, driven by robust consumer demand for premium devices and the steady expansion of its ecosystem across the country.
Chief executive John Ternus, addressing his first earnings call after succeeding Tim Cook, confirmed that India set an all-time revenue record during the fourth quarter. The performance was anchored by strong domestic uptake across Apple's lineup as the company expands its manufacturing footprint and retail presence in the country.
Global quarterly revenue reached $114.4 billion, reflecting a 12 per cent year-on-year growth, while net income stood at $30.71 billion.
Apple global performance by segment
| Business segment | Quarterly revenue | Year-on-year growth |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone | $57.5 billion | 17% |
| Services | $31.6 billion | 10% |
| Mac | $10.7 billion | 23.6% |
India's expanding middle class and increasing preference for flagship technology have positioned the nation as one of Apple's primary growth engines. Market research firm Counterpoint Research reported that the iPhone 17 was the top-shipped model in India during the quarter, while the MacBook Neo posted record sales figures.
The average selling price of Apple devices in India crossed $1,000 for the first time during the quarter, reflecting a decisive consumer shift towards higher-tier models such as the Pro series. Easy financing options, trade-in initiatives, and localized production have made premium ownership increasingly accessible.
Tarun Pathak, director of research at Counterpoint Research, noted that India is transitioning from a market focused predominantly on iPhone adoption into a complete ecosystem market. Analysts at IDC India added that high-value users in India are establishing a strong base for Apple's digital services, reinforcing long-term growth prospects.
Apple chief financial officer Kevan Parekh highlighted that Apple set a September quarter record for device upgraders globally, with India ranking among the standout performing regions.
