Salman Khan security tightened in Mumbai after firing on Tiger Shroff car
Armed police deploy outside Galaxy Apartments as Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis promises firm action against attackers.

What happened in Juhu
Mumbai Police have heightened security outside actor Salman Khan’s Bandra residence after gunmen opened fire on actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Juhu on Sunday evening.
The attack took place at around 7 pm as Shroff was leaving a football club in Pushpa Park, Juhu. Two men out of a group of three opened fire at his vehicle. While Shroff escaped direct gunshot wounds, he sustained minor injuries to his left hand from shattered glass fragments and gunpowder residue. His driver was also injured during the assault.
In response to the attack, police personnel equipped with bulletproof jackets and multiple police vehicles were deployed outside Khan’s Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartments, to prevent further security threats.
State leadership promises swift arrests
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated on Monday that Mumbai Police have identified key suspects in the shooting and are acting quickly to apprehend them.
"We have taken this matter very seriously. It is a grave and condemnable incident," Fadnavis said. He added that while local operatives within Maharashtra involved in the plot have already been arrested, law enforcement agencies are tracking external handlers operating from other states or abroad.
Fadnavis assured that the state government is coordinating with central agencies and interstate police forces to ensure everyone involved is brought to justice.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Shroff’s residence on Sunday night to review the situation and meet the actor and his mother, Ayesha Shroff. Shinde affirmed that the state government will not tolerate threats against public figures and promised strict legal action against the perpetrators.
Investigation and crime branch operations
The Mumbai Police Crime Branch has deployed three to four specialized teams to track down the assailants, expanding search operations into neighbouring Gujarat. Investigators suspect the attackers conducted prior reconnaissance on Shroff's routine Sunday visits to the football ground before carrying out the ambush.
Following the shooting, the suspects fled along SV Road through Vile Parle and Andheri. They abandoned a motorcycle near Andheri West railway station before boarding a train towards Borivali, with officers tracking their route towards Gujarat.
Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against three unidentified individuals. The charges include Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act.
