Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at the Delhi Police headquarters on Saturday afternoon to conduct a thorough review of public safety and security operations in the national capital.

Accompanied by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Home Minister met top police officials at the headquarters on Jai Singh Road around 3 pm. The review comes as the central government continues to tighten security infrastructure and drive proactive policing measures across the metropolitan area.

Strengthening capital law enforcement

The review focused on crucial law enforcement priorities, including dismantling international criminal syndicates operating from abroad, eradicating drug trafficking networks, and ensuring robust protection for women across Delhi. Senior officers presented comprehensive briefs on institutional performance, active investigations, and strategic enforcement goals.

The visit marks the Home Minister's return to the Delhi Police headquarters after four years, having last visited the complex in August 2022. The engagement served as a direct morale boost for the force as it works to maintain order and safeguard public spaces across the capital.
