The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has introduced a new ₹600 weekly bus pass, giving commuters unlimited travel across city bus routes in Greater Hyderabad.

The pass remains valid for seven days from the date of purchase and can be bought at all city bus pass counters. It covers the corporation's standard and air-conditioned city buses, though it does not apply to Pushpak Airport Liner services.

Broadening access to public transit

TGSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Y. Nagi Reddy said the initiative aims to encourage greater use of public transport by keeping travel costs manageable for daily commuters. The ticket update reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen urban connectivity and deliver reliable, low-cost transit options for city residents.

The weekly pass builds on the state's existing public transport fare structure, which includes standard daily and monthly passes alongside a recently introduced combined transit option for bus and metro travel.

Strengthening urban mobility

The introduction of the weekly option comes shortly after transit authorities introduced a common pass covering both the Hyderabad Metro Rail and TGSRTC bus networks, priced at ₹400 per day and ₹8,500 per month.

By offering a flexible seven-day window, transport officials aim to cater to short-term commuters, shift workers, and visitors who need regular travel across the metropolitan region without committing to a full monthly ticket.
