Delhi-based refurbished electronics startup ReFit Global has secured $1 million in fresh funding from a UAE-based family office. The investment is aimed at scaling the company's retail footprint in India while laying the groundwork for an expansion into the Middle East and Africa.

The capital injection will be used to grow ReFit's physical distribution network, invest in its proprietary technology, and develop an integrated omnichannel platform that links its online and offline sales. Crucially, the unnamed UAE family office is expected to do more than just write a cheque; the investor will help ReFit navigate entry into the Gulf and African markets by connecting the startup with local partners and distribution channels.

Expanding beyond India

Founded by Saket Saurav and Avneet Singh, ReFit operates across the entire refurbished electronics value chain, handling sourcing, repair, and distribution. The startup has built a vast B2B network in India, supplying devices to more than 75 distributors, 2,000 wholesalers, and 50,000 retail outlets across the country.

Alongside this wholesale model, ReFit is building a direct-to-consumer presence through its "ReFit Xpress" franchise stores, of which it currently operates 12. It also works closely with India's largest e-commerce platforms, sourcing used devices and selling refurbished ones through Amazon and Flipkart.

"This round marks an important milestone for ReFit Global and validates the strength of the ecosystem we have been building," Saurav said in a statement. The funding round was advised by Bestvantage Investments.

High-tech refurbishment

A significant portion of the capital will go toward upgrading ReFit's technical infrastructure. The startup relies heavily on automated diagnostics and quality checks to standardise the condition of used electronics, a sector that historically suffered from a lack of trust and quality control.

ReFit claims a refurbishment yield of 92%—meaning nearly all devices it sources are successfully restored to working order—and has the technical capacity for "Level 4" repairs, which involve complex, chip-level engineering.

The startup’s profile received a significant boost earlier this year when the founders pitched on Shark Tank India Season 3, an appearance they say helped build credibility and trust with everyday consumers who might otherwise be sceptical of buying second-hand electronics. With the new funding, ReFit hopes to capitalise on that momentum, building a more robust tech-driven operation as it prepares to take its business model outside India.
