KEC International secures ₹2,872 crore PGCIL order for 765 kV transmission lines
The record deal to evacuate 8.5 GW of renewable power from Gujarat pushes the infrastructure firm's year-to-date order intake past ₹13,500 crore.

KEC International has secured turnkey contracts worth ₹2,872 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd for the design, supply, and installation of 765 kV transmission lines, marking the largest single domestic order in the history of its transmission and distribution business.
The project is designed to facilitate the evacuation of 8.5 gigawatts of renewable energy from Gujarat. The infrastructure development directly supports India's aggressive clean energy expansion and ongoing grid modernisation, ensuring high-capacity power transmission to support growing industrial and domestic demand across the country.
With this order, the RPG Group flagship company has crossed ₹13,500 crore in total year-to-date order intake for the current financial year. The core transmission and distribution division accounts for approximately ₹9,500 crore of that total.
"The orders secured from PGCIL include the largest-ever order for our India T&D business," said Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of KEC International. He added that the 765 kV high-voltage projects substantially expand the company's domestic order book and reinforce its leadership in India's power infrastructure segment.
